NASHVILLE -- The PovertyNeck Hillbillies are often referred to as the unofficial band of the 2006 NFL world champion Pittsburgh Steelers because of their Pittsburgh roots.
The band had just announced that Steeler Ben Roethlisberger was going to appear in their upcoming video for their single, "Mr. Right Now," when they heard that the quarterback was involved in a collision on his motorcycle Monday morning. Roethlisberger underwent seven hours of surgery by four surgeons.
PovertyNeck Hillbillies fiddle player Chris Higbee said the band is praying for Roethlisberger's full recovery. They are going to wait as long as they can on the video, so that the quarterback can participate as he wanted to, Higbee said.
